Rancho Santa Fe Fire Station No. 4
Red Flag Warnings are issued by the National Weather Service (NWS) during periods in which high temperatures, low humidity and high winds combine to create an extreme high risk of wildfires.
Whenever there is a Red Flag Warning issued by the NWS, HOA management will monitor conditions. If the HOA management determines that a Red Flag Warning applies to any portion of Cielo, the following procedures will be in effect:
- HOA management will send notices via email blast to all Owners and Residents on the Association's email list and issue instructions to the guards at the entry gate.
- Entry to the community will be denied to landscapers, tree trimming services, brush clearing services, chipper services, construction workers doing exterior work, as well as the HOA's landscaping service.
- Owners, tenants, and other residents, when doing any outside work, must follow the guidelines issued by CAL Fire and the Rancho Santa Fe Fire Protection District.
- Residential construction is permitted for interior work only, subject to the following requirements:
- At least one working fire extinguisher on site.
- A working water source connected to a hose that reaches all of the construction area.
- Vehicles are not parked on vacant Lots.
- A fully charged cell phone is kept nearby to dial 9-1-1 in the event of a fire.
- No excavation work or use of power tools outdoors or any other activity that could spark a fire takes place.
- Drones for Real Estate Photography or Videography may not fly during Red Flag Warnings.
If you observe fire, smoke or any other hazardous condition, call 9-1-1.
